The creator, Maria Innocentia Hummel, sold charming postcards depicting children to raise revenue for the Siessen Convent during World War II. In 1935, the first three-dimensional beautiful M. I. Hummel figurines were introduced on the world stage in the Leipzig Fair and immediately succeeded. Since then, M.I. Hummel figurines have become the beloved collectibles that bring millions of people joy and laughter. Nowadays, Hummel Manufaktur GmbH continues the legend of M.I. Hummel.
